The 1926 Society Giving Levels
In 1926, Graham F. Blandy bequeathed 712 acres of the Tuleyries, his Clarke County property, to the University of Virginia with the stipulation that the acreage be named Blandy Experimental Farm. The university hired Dr. Orland E. White as the first director the following year, and arboretum plantings began shortly thereafter.
