We provide a variety of professional development opportunities for educators. We welcome your inquiries and will gladly discuss ideas for how we can collaborate to develop and meet your educational needs.
With our teacher workshops, educators develop skills and knowledge to provide authentic, place-based, investigative experiences for students as well as explore integrative approaches to weave science, math, and language arts into activities and lessons, develop engineering skills, and apply 21st-century skills (5Cs), all while incorporating the Virginia Standards of Learning.
Pedagogical Resources can include science content, process, and skills as well as lesson planning resources (for example: materials to teach evolution, biodiversity, weather, global climate change, watershed science, ecological structure and complexity).

PLT also has developed Secondary Modules for grades 9-12; we are certified trainers for these secondary modules, too.

With the activities in the K- 12 Curriculum and Activity Guide, educators bring awareness and appreciation of wildlife into the classroom.
